JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Site Producer is responsible for updating theirlocal website, curating high-performing content, crafting homepagelayouts driven by data, and helping to report news -- everything fromquick-hit local stories to breaking news and enterprise reports. Thisrole will work on building a loyal local audience by being responsive totraffic patterns and audience interest while serving as a steward of ourbrands. Position Responsibilities Curate and aggregate a steady streamof interesting content that is packaged and promoted in a way thatgenerates engagement and repeat site visitation Monitor all forms ofmedia (print, TV, digital, blogs and social) and be quick to reportbreaking news stories and always on the hunt for exclusive and/ortrending content that will grow engagement and drive loyal, localtraffic Excellent at writing headlines that grow audience and engagementPrioritize packaging content that grows page views per visitor and timeon site, using headline testing, metric tools and observed patterns toguide decision making Evaluate website traffic trends to make decisionson both daily content needs and longer-term content curation that willgrow local audience Build positive working relationships with newsroomstaff and management, work collaboratively on enterprise content andcreate opportunities to market web content on broadcast Promote anddistribute news content on social media Flexibility to performadditional duties as needed Typical day The site producer will attendlocal editorial meetings as needed/assigned. Producer will havefamiliarity with local, regional, and national content and use data tomake decisions on what stories to publish and how to showcase them onwebsite. Producer will take stories from newsroom and digital reportersand help package the content for optimal engagement. Producer will needto improve headlines and thumbnail images. Producer will communicatesuccesses across the team and the regional group to maximize trafficacross as many websites as possible. Expected work schedule Thisposition will have a weekly schedule that includes evenings andweekends. There is a possibility for applicants to work four ten hourshifts rather than five eight hour shifts.
