About the Role

Direct to Consumer (DTC) Strategy team supports the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment helping to bring The Walt Disney Company’s best-in-class storytelling to fans everywhere! The Strategy Team supports DTC leadership in driving profitable growth and innovation by collaborating with partners across the business to provide market intelligence, find opportunities, and deliver actionable strategies and business plans. Examples of work the group has led recently include:
Developing near- and long-term strategies to improve the financial performance of TWDC’s suite of direct-to-consumer services (e.g., pricing strategy, product prioritization)
Assessing potential partnership opportunities for our DTC services
Aligning with TV and Film studio teams on content investment and windowing strategies
Crafting materials to lay out the business’s strategy for the investor community (e.g., earnings prep, Board of Director updates, Investor Day, long range planning).
What You Will Do
Play a role in identifying, evaluating, and implementing strategic opportunities for the DTC business.
Complete market research and conduct financial analyses to advise decision-making on new business development opportunities and growth strategies.
Build executive-level presentations to summarize key insights and recommendations for the leadership team.
Gain exposure to the executive decision-making process at Disney with the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of Hulu and Disney+ globally.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Excellent record of academic and professional achievement
Experience in a meticulous analytical role
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
A team-oriented and collaborative demeanor
Passion for media, entertainment, sports, and technology
Education
At the time of application, must be enrolled in an MBA program; on track to graduate by summer 2025 OR must have graduated from an MBA program within 18 months OR currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Must be at least 18 years of age and possess unrestricted work authorization
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Must be able to work on-site in Burbank, provide your own housing and have reliable transportation to/from work
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2024 through August 2024. Candidate must be available to work 40 hours/week for the duration of the internship.
