　　Position Overview

　　The Assistant Electrical Designer will participate in the electrical design efforts for our construction projects. They will work closely with the design team and help prepare the field installation drawings and create build books for the prefab team. They will be responsible for printing all drawings and labels for the project. Through executing, shadowing and mentoring, this role will get the required experience to develop into an Electrical Designer.

　　Essential Duties and Responsibilities

　　Include the following. Other duties will likely be assigned.

　　Assist in the review process with submittals, specs, and drawings.

　　Work closely with a designer and help create field drawings.

　　Print and prepare drawings for field or prefab shop.

　　Work in excel to create labels and print and package.

　　Communicate with team and manage workload.

　　Review install drawings for the field with GF/Foreman and Design team

　　Visit jobsites and ensure the field understands the intent of prefab and how to install it

　　Attend project weekly meetings.

　　Position Requirements/Preferred Skills, Education and Experience

　　High School degree required; college degree is helpful!

　　Previous electrical experience is preferred but not required.

　　Experience and/or interest in designing/drawing on the computer

　　Must be computer proficient and comfortable with different software

　　Able to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment but has a desire to lead.

　　Strong communication skills – verbal and written – that promote “working together”.

　　Able to handle and prioritize multiple projects

　　Attention to detail and ability to follow a process

　　Demonstrate responsiveness to external and internal customers and ownership of your job and responsibilities is critical.

　　Desire to be part of a team and understand how your role fits into the bigger picture.

　　Software Skills

　　Demonstrated experience using various software such as Microsoft 365

　　Will train on Construction related software such as Bluebeam, Revit

　　LANGUAGE SKILLS

　　Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customer, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
