　　DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:DescriptionWe're hiring immediately - be a part of our vital mission! Vitalant is currently seeking Union (Teamsters 249) Drivers to help our dedicated team provide blood to patients in Pittsburgh and the surrounding tri-state area. Our drivers are the face of Vitalant when they are interacting with our vendors and assisting blood drives!

　　As a member of our Union courier team with Teamsters 249, you'll use your communication and customer service skills to build relationships with hospital/vendor staff as you deliver and transport blood and blood product, as well as play an active part in the setup and takedown of mobile blood drives.

　　A successful Driver will also use exceptional problem-solving skills to be able to manage weather-related driving issues as they arise and report any issues to management. Every day you'll also be making a measurable difference by being a part of our organization's mission to help save lives!

　　What to ExpectPay: $18.00 Hourly + Shift Differentials & Weekend Shift Premium

　　We're looking for someone who:* Has great customer service skills and a Driver's License in good standing* Can pass a DOT Physical in order to obtain DOT Medical Card* Has professional driving experience (box and full size van) with a manual transmission, preferably* Has flexible availability and who can work all shifts* Be able to accommodate schedule changes with minimal notice, based on business needs

　　RequirementsMust possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record.Must be able to pass DOT Physical, unless already possess DOT Medical Card.Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, with the assistance of hand cart.Must be able to work a flexible schedule, which may include all shifts.Must have or obtain PA Child Abuse and Federal Clearances within first 30 days of employment.
