We have an immediate opportunity for a talented, DRIE (Deep Reactive Ion Etching) Silicon Etch Engineer to join our 3D Integration and Imaging Sensors group - a world leader in Advanced Packaging and Materials Research and Development. 　　Responsibilities to Anticipate:

　　Supporting fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in Reactive Ion Etching processes for the 200mm product line

　　DRIE/Bosch etching is top priority.

　　Dry etch of dielectrics (oxides, nitrides, etc.) and organics.

　　Taking ownership and responsibility for maintaining/optimizing all Dry Etch equipment (5 tools and growing)

　　Research new suppliers/technologies for improving production, quality, and throughput – drive selection / install / qualification of new etch platforms.

　　Maintaining current processes, optimizing existing processes, and training in safe / efficient operations of the Dry Etch process cell.

　　Maintain statistical process controls for process optimization; troubleshoot and resolve Etch issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve process yields.

　　Working with a diverse team of technicians and engineers in an ISO-Class 5 wafer fabrication clean room

　　Work with R&D teams to develop creative solutions / approaches for new devices designs and advanced packaging architectures.

　　Basic Qualifications:

　　Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years in DRIE. Or an advanced degree with 5 years of related experience.

　　Experience in dry etch techniques – DRIE//Bosch Etching.

　　U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Experience with sustaining existing Etch processes preferably in a 200mm manufacturing environment to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows, maintaining operating instructions for process and equipment.

　　Demonstrated ability of solving technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking

　　Thorough sense of process / tool ownership, drive, and dedication to continuous improvement

　　Experience showing ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

　　Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.

　　Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills

　　SPTS experience preferred.

　　The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
