　　As the first InterContinental Resort to land in Australia, InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort reflects the grand, graceful architecture of a classic Queensland estate, nestled within the beautiful surrounds of Sanctuary Cove. Surrounded by 4.2 hectares of lush landscaping with the show-stopping beach lagoon at the centre, the Resort has 251 distinctive rooms all boasting private balconies, 15 diverse indoor and outdoor meeting and events spaces and 5 restaurants & bars.

　　Your day to day

　　Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Food & Beverage is a key role in our leadership team, leading and directing the Food and Beverage operation. You will work in partnership with other areas of the Resort to continuously drive and identify revenue, product and guest experience enhancement opportunities.

　　With the overall Food & Beverage operational strategy in mind you will partner with the Executive Chef, you will curate beverage programs, and industry and brand defining dining show cases; from pop up and lagoon events to wine dinners, masterclasses and fine dining. You will be at the forefront of driving a diverse luxury food and beverage experience. It will also be critical that you have a strong focus on developing your team to create a positive and productive work environment; building, motivating and upskilling them to ensure they are highly engaged, deliver results and know how to truly deliver luxury in the food and beverage space.

　　In addition you will monitor and control the Food & Beverage Operation in the areas of revenue, expenditure, profitability and performance against budget whilst also being a key driver of the Resort’s branded service delivery.

　　What we need from you

　　The ideal candidate will have experience both in hospitality, leadership and working in a large complex hotel with high volume banqueting and multiple restaurant & bar offerings. You will have demonstrated capability in influencing and impacting business strategy and also have strong financial, analytical and business acumen partnered with proven ability to deliver on set targets. You will be a change agent with the ability to work alongside a team and collaborate with key stakeholders with a sense of urgency. Strategic thinking, the ability to explore new ways of working and an open minded around how we can drive the Resort forward and deliver unrivalled guest journeys will be highly advantageous. Demonstrated ability to work with guests and champion a brand is also a must.

　　Flexibility to work a varied roster including, late evenings, weekends and public holidays in order to support the operation alongside holding Australian work rights is also a must.
