The Opportunity with Viridis
We are adding a Director of Client Marketing Strategy to our Infrastructure as a Service East Coast business. This role is a critical member of our project teams. The Director of Client Marketing Strategy will facilitate the C-Suite branding of our large-scale projects so that the project, regardless of scope, helps fulfill the client's mission and vision. This role is essential in aligning “what matters most” to clients, helping create momentum in the early sales cycle and cement Executive level support for the largest, most complex projects our teams deliver. This position will engage with our sales leaders early in a project’s life to begin concepting and positioning the project with our clients, and will follow each project to its conclusion, delivering exceptional client value by driving internal and external perception to align with the client’s desired outcomes and mission.
Examples might include positive external and internal public relations, community engagement, economic development, messaging, recruiting students/ teachers/ professors/ staff, sports tourism, modernization, decarbonization, sustainability, and the list goes on. A high- bandwidth leader with a marketing background, persuasive communication skills, leadership ability, and strategic thinking will be needed to manage, facilitate, and generate these types of “customized storylines” for clients. Our clients are investing significantly in these projects, and they desire a turn-key service that includes public awareness and positive publicity as a result.
Critical to this position is the ability to be our clients’ go-to consultant for all project communications and branding support. This person will lead the bespoke development of customized branding, messaging and outreach plans and content then expertly manage all parties required for the execution of those plans during and after construction.
This is a senior, highly visible role that will need to be able to expertly engage at the executive level and all other levels of an organization.
Revenue Generating Client Specific Project Branding (Post Client Contract)
Supports clients in creating tailored, client-specific project branding.
Evaluates and develops customized plans for project specific community engagement efforts.
Identifies strategic partnerships for public awareness and outreach efforts.
Client facing: meets with Communications and C-Suite client personnel to craft and refine messaging, content, and overall approach to project outreach and branding.
Client facing: presents project branding, PR, and engagement plans to client C-Suite, Board, MarCom teams and other stakeholders for approval.
Creates concepts and content for clients’ outreach strategies including newsletters, social media publications, and press releases.
Partners with external firms and clients’ internal teams to develop and execute project plans.
Sales/Project Strategy Collaboration
Supports sales leaders in early concepting for client branding and outreach approaches for specific projects during the sales cycle.
Client facing: presents marketing, PR, and engagement concepts/strategies alongside sales leaders to garner client C-Suite, Board, and other stakeholder excitement, buy-in, and support.
Supports sales leaders in project specific strategic content development.
Develops and optimizes strategic messaging and client engagement tools.
Enhances client-facing project deliverables.
Supports sales leaders in building the strategy for presentation media and meeting dynamics.
McKinstry Marketing Liaison
Acts as primary liaison with Enterprise Marketing team, collaborating in support of McKinstry marketing and branding efforts.What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
Ad agency experience a plus.
Digital marketing experience a plus.
Experience with both start-ups and large entity Marketing a plus.
Direct experience with content creation and client branding.
Experience in energy services, building technology, construction firms a plus.
Experience in client-facing roles, delivering strategic content at an executive level.
Experience building and executing compelling media, community and stakeholder engagement strategies and associated work plans with external parties.

T he pay range for this position is $124,100 - $187,500 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on market location. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
