  Our Infrastructure Technology & Operations organization is looking for a Network Engineer (Director role) who can lead the networking team and ITCI infrastructure to a safe, robust, stable and a pinnacle state of networking standards.

  The Network Engineering team is responsible for leading the ITCI Infrastructure organization network activities, reliability at scale. As a leader of the team, you ensure that network operations are safe and efficient by monitoring network performance, coordinating planned maintenance, adjusting hardware components, and responding to network connectivity issues as you have a direct impact on design, standards, security, and feature enhancements for our user base in our New York City & Maryland offices, as well VPN support for remote and Field Sales Force globally. In addition to the network engineering role, this candidate also needs to master VOIP technologies and Security Operations skills.

  Job Responsibilities

  Present technical concepts to leadership and non-technical stake holders in a user-friendly language.

  Provide design, migration, implementation, and deployment network and VOIP services / guidance.

  Develop professional documentation, operating guides, high level and low-level design documents.

  Own, drive, and support annual compliance activities with knowledge of GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, FDA, SOC-2, etc.

  Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the networking industry.

  Lead troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex technical challenges for stakeholders.

  Develops/procures, installs, configures, and supports new and existing network services and plans and implements upgrades needed to maintain service levels.

  Develop and lead the replacement of network components at end of life.

  Recommend and/or support customer strategic planning to modernize the IT infrastructure to enable more mature SOC capabilities.

  Oversee support operations, service requests, maintain activities, and administer networks including hardware, systems software, applications software, patching, updates, maintenance activities, and all configurations.

  Execution of DR tests as planned and agreed.

  Complete all company and job-related training as assigned within the required timelines.

  Job Requirements

  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, VOIP, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field with 10+ years of prior relevant experience or a master’s with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.

  Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience preferred.

  Knowledge of security system design tools, methods, and techniques.

  Knowledge of key concepts in security management (e.g., Release Management, Patch Management).

  Global knowledge and experience commensurate with this role.

  Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

  Cisco Data Center (CCIE level or equivalent skill and experience).

  SDWAN.

  NSX-T (Architecture level of experience).

  Application/ App Deployment Knowledge (DevOps tool chains, Microservices, API gateways, API Security tools).

  Must have Network Segmentation Practices.

  Detailed knowledge and experience of Avaya/Cisco Communication & Contact center systems in a distributed and centralized environment.

  Experience in implementation of SIP Trunk services and DID numbers management.

  Strong understanding of monitoring tools, call detailed records and Wireshark.

  Strong understanding of Network ports and firewall rules for voice services.

  Knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise Voice Skype and MS Teams required.

  Demonstrated experience with both cloud network operations as well as global hosting services with the primary focus on on-prem networks.

  Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

  Strong interpersonal, written & oral communication skills.

  Knowledge of Microsoft Visio is required.

  Demonstrated leadership and hands on experience with third party network cloud and network infrastructure providers across multiple technology platforms, primarily Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS required.

  Director Network/VOIP Engineering & Security Operations Base Salary range $180K - $210K
