Job Summary
The Director of Content & Communication Strategy will drive content and communications initiatives that deliver an enhanced user experience and drive effective messaging that targets our internal employees, external audiences and Executive Management. This position will create and implement internal and external communication strategies to advance the company ’ s mission, reinforce brand value, support business goals and protect goodwill among stakeholders. The Director of Content & Communication Strategy will oversee various channels (digital and print) and be responsible for interpreting company brand guidelines and applying those brand standards to assist in compelling marketing materials.
Job Duties
Create concise, engaging content that adheres to brand guidelines for tone and voice, uses language best practices for the given channel/medium and is optimized for search engines.
Research, write and publish stories for the company’s intranet site. Assist intranet group/business owners to maintain active communities.
Identify trends and optimize content based on findings to help improve content with each round of messaging.
Measure content effectiveness via web metrics to monitor progress against strategic enterprise priorities, as well as specific business campaigns.
Manage the creative and design of print and digital marketing collateral to advance the Company brand.
Plan and create engaging social media content for various social platforms. Manage and optimize a social content calendar based on evolving business needs.
Ensure all social content accurately represents the Exeter brand, aligns with the company’s social strategy, and adheres to company policies and procedures.
Collaborates with senior and executive leadership to create strong, impactful presentations.
Contribute creative and strategic insight and ideas to new and existing SWG business opportunities and projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in OR equivalent experience in Communications, or Marketing
8+ years implementing content and communications strategy
3+ years’ management experience
4+ years’ experience in financial services is preferred
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and SharePoint
Must have proven experience in using analytics, statistics and learnings to drive the optimization of campaigns and programs
Experience with high-volume, consumer-facing websites with meaningful annual revenue
Exceptional communication and relationship management skills and deep cross-functional collaboration is required
Must be a self-starter with a proven ability to create and manage engaging social media content
Compensation Information
Salary Range: $109,400 - $150,350
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
