Direct Support Professional (DSP) Position Responsibilities:
Support adult individuals with daily activities such as shopping,laundry, money management, and home careAssist individuals with grooming, bathing, toileting, and dressingas neededAssist with connectivity to others through various technologyplatforms (i.e. Zoom)Assist with meal preparation and cookingPerform light housekeeping dutiesMonitor or administer medication dosage to participantsDrive adult individuals to doctor appointments, to and from work,and various errands (company provided vehicle)May provide mobility support to participants, which includes liftingor walking utilizing adaptive equipmentComplete and submit reportsProvide companionship to individualsEncourage attitudes and behaviors that foster community inclusionServe as a liaison to represent Aspire in the communityComplete the established Illinois Department of Human Services DSPtraining (training provided through Aspire), including medicationtraining, and maintain required certifications and on-going trainingAdditional duties as assigned
