Job Description
AECOM is eagerly seeking an innovative Digital Water Growth Lead for the West Region. In this critical role, you will take charge of developing, advancing, and executing our strategy to establish a commanding presence in the digital water sector. This includes driving the expansion of our digital consulting (advisory and implementation) services business and associated practice areas within the US West region Water business line.
As the Digital Water Growth Lead at AECOM, your mission will be to cultivate and direct a specialized digital consulting practice, concentrating not just on team growth but also on the strategic evolution of this essential business area.

About Digital @AECOM
As a member of the regional Water growth team, you will work with leaders from around the West region to define and position the digital consulting services, to share best practices, to leverage global capabilities and to support global opportunities and projects. While services and solution management will be set globally, they will be tailored for implementation within the region, Water business line, and for each client.
This role will work closely with regional leadership to build and expand the impact of our department of digital consulting professionals in the Water market.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership and Technical Advisory:
Serve in direct delivery roles on projects to provide technical leadership, project management, advisement, and solutioning.
Act as a steward between clients and technical teams to facilitate the development of solutions, selection of technology, and develop offerings to identified client challenges.
Strategic Communication and Market Alignment:
Understand the broader Water offering to develop internal and external messaging and marketing material to align digital consulting offering within core Water services.
Liaison with global product teams to understand features roadmap and provide feedback to support the alignment of future features and marketing effort to align with the needs for the West region.
Business Development and Client Engagement:
Plan, organize, and implement business development activities.
Engage in high level, unstructured conversations within leadership levels of client organizations to enable problem identification and business case development.
Identify and develop key client relationships and monitor client satisfaction levels, in coordination with existing Client Account Managers when applicable.
Lead regional digital consulting bids for Water and support select cross business line pursuits.
Operational Excellence and Quality Management:
Facilitate evaluations and discussions on existing programs and longer-term contracts to help teams understand and define potential opportunities for improvements and efficiencies.
Implement and oversee quality assurance and control processes, ensuring high standards in all deliverables.
Networking and Resource Optimization
Develop and maintain a broad network and understanding of technical resources and ongoing work occurring across other business lines throughout the firm within North America
Understand the teams’ capabilities in comparison with the market to continuously convey our capabilities and needs for bench growth to both our client facing teams and senior leadership.
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience in digital project and solution delivery OR demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to work cross business lines in understanding and collaboration.
Demonstrated client (internal and external) relationship and business development capabilities.
Demonstrated innovation and technical leadership delivery.
Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated experience in development of scopes, fees, and proposals.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in the water industry markets with experience in technology planning and implementation for water and wastewater utilities, public municipalities, federal government, and private industrial and mining organizations.
Experience in architectural, engineering, or construction or other associated infrastructure professional consulting industries
Experience in process automation systems planning and implementation including cutover, migration, and construction of the physical hardware and software/programming integration.
Experience with low code application and business intelligence technologies, data management, and governance; preferability within Microsoft/Azure stacks.

Strong ability to develop messaging and marketing materials to translate highly technical offerings and solutions into broader, layman’s proposal messaging.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to work under pressure and prioritize effectively.
Able to demonstrate passion, energy and drive, especially in the face of resistance.

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position typically is $200,000 - $225,000. Please note that this role can be located anywhere in the United States and compensation will vary in each location, including higher or lower than the range.
