Department Summary
The Digital Media Services Department, located within the Anderson AcademicCommons, provides customer-focused support for audio, digital, andvisual technology resources campus-wide, at the University of Denver,which includes: general and a variety of non-general classrooms,audio-visual event resources and requests, video production services,video streaming for live events, audio visual services for commencement,video teleconferencing, audiovisual design consultation services, andsenior level and board of trustee meetings on and off campus.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for delivering audio/visual technology supportfor University classes, events, conferencing events, and specialevents, along with support for video conferencing services. The applicantwill provide effective classroom support to faculty and students withinuniversity smart classrooms.
This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
Essential Functions
Professional Customer ServicesSet up, test, and operate A/V equipmentMaintain Audio/Visual EquipmentInstruct faculty, staff, and students in the operations of A/V equipmentincluding projectors, document cameras, DVD/Blu-Ray players, FlatScreen Monitors, mixers, microphones, laptops, and computersMixing, regulating, and coordinating sound inputsTroubleshoot problemsPerform related work as required or assignedMust be able to communicate with diplomacy, tact, and judgment, both inperson and on the telephone
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience with, and working knowledge of audio-visual, video, andcomputer equipment preferably in a college or university environmentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExperienced in troubleshooting problemsExperience with classroom technologyNavigation of OS and Windows-based operating systemsExcellent customer service skills are a must. Ability to work independentlywith little supervision

High school diploma or GEDFlexibility of schedule and able to accommodate nights, and/or weekend shiftsProfessional appearance and demeanor

Working Environment
This is an academic work environment with cyclical periods of increasedworkloads with the possibility of stressful situations. The department ishighly automated with attention paid to ergonomics and safety. The unit is oneof several working collaboratively and cooperatively in a team-basedorganization. The work environment consists of surroundings with moderatenoise levels and frequent contact with electrical devices.
Physical Activities
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and perform work of a physical nature. Whileperforming the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required towalk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, orcontrols; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee isoccasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific visionabilities required by this job include close, distance, depth, color,peripheral, and the ability to adjust focus.

Part-Time, Varied hours.

Hourly Range
The hourly range is $18.00-$20.00.
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents itsgood faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at thetime of posting. The University may ultimately pay more or less than theposted compensation range. The salary offered to the selected candidate will
