Join a global engineering team utilizing advanced design tools and techniques to develop state-of-the-art CT systems for leadership medical diagnostic imaging systems. The Engineer is responsible for driving elements of the multi-generational product plan as well as product specific development plans.
Essential Responsibilities
The successful candidate in this role will support existing CT systems products and new product development programs with component design, equipment design, engineering analysis, and planning/conducting rigorous reliability and verification tests. There will be an emphasis on hands on engineering and component testing. This role requires the interaction with other service, manufacturing, and design engineering teams. Main responsibilities for this role will be in circuit design (Analog and/or Power) and VHDL coding. Looking for a well- rounded experienced Electrical Engineer that can execute on a variety of tasks on this super-awesome fun-tastic team.

Roles and Responsibilities
Drives and is accountable for operational excellence of assigned designs, projects and rigor, with duties including design, project reviews, feasibility analysis, cost benefit analysis, prioritization, resourcing, initiation, execution and closure
Drive the development of prototypes, performance testing and design documentation
Develop FPGA designs, program in VHDL
Develop innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability
Identify, select, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test equipment.
Evaluate engineering test plan requests, and determine the best method/approach to achieve results
Create, review, and execute development and reliability planning, testing, and analysis activities, and when needed coordinate resources and equipment needed to run engineering test.
Proactively resolve and escalate issues across functions regarding issues found during engineering development and tests.
Communicates effectively project status, issues, risks, and plans to senior management
Required Qualifications
BS in Electrical Engineering and 8 years of industry electrical engineering experience
8+ years of FPGA design & VHDL/Verilog coding experience
Desired Characteristics
MS degree in related technical field or Business Administration
Good understanding of circuit/circuit board design both analog and digital
Knowledge of Low and high voltage DC and AC circuit design
Experience with GE Engineering tools (MyWorkshop, Cadence, Quartus, Simulink)
Experience with GE CT architectures of current and past systems
Familiarity with digital electronics, switches and flux capacitors
Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute projects/programs.
Ability to multi-task, both on projects within the electrical team and within the greater hardware team.
Someone that wants to grow in the role from circuit board design to overall team design strategy.
Global project experience
Circuit design and simulation tool experience
Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs
System on programmable chip (Altera/Xilinx) experience
EMC compatible design/solution experience
