Essential Functions and Other Job Information:
Attends all study protocol meetings to determine specific nutritional requirements. Plans / develops /reviews menus to meet study protocol requirements / expectations.
Follows through with subject feedback and any concerns pertain to the department and communicates issues to proper team members and/or project manager for resolution.
Assists with supervisory duties as appropriate (food order, staffing, schedules, approve/release time sheets). Assists with food ordering as requested by the FNS Manager. Updates food count in production schedule and distribute to FNS Manager as needed.
Monitors /educates / trains Food and Nutrition Services employees in compliance with Department of Health Regulations in order to maintain quality control. Supervises meals from preparation to service and submit any issues to manager. Checks production schedule prior to distribution as well as servers schedule.
Performs special projects, which may include quality audits, training manual preparation, preparation and conduction of study surveys, development of policies and procedures for staff. Assists with data entry of production schedule as needed.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Can demonstrate management and leadership qualities. Years of experience refers to typical years of related experience needed to gain the required knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Years of experience are not to be used as the only determining factor in establishing the job class or making employment selection decisions.
Management Role: No management responsibility Working Conditions and Environment:
Work is performed in an office or clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment. Constant exposure to high pressure, intense concentration.
Must pay constant attention to detail-visual, mental.
Must be able to multi-task constantly.
Occasional early morning, late evening and weekends as study workload requires.
Occasional exposure to heat and cold while interfacing with department staff near stoves/ovens or in coolers/freezers.
Frequent interaction with clients/associates required.
Occasional exposure to electrical equipment and sharp instruments.
Exposure to skin irritants and toxic materials on rare occasions.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently stationary for 4-6 hours per day. Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists.
Occasional mobility required. Occasional crouching, stooping, bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
Light to heavy lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including food trays and deliveries with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf. Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand; with the ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
May interact with others, relating and gathering sensitive information. Interaction includes diverse groups.
Works with guidance or reliance on oral or written instructions from management. May require periods of intense concentration.
Performs a wide range of variable tasks as dictated by variable demands and changing conditions with little predictability as to the occurrence. Ability to perform under stress. Ability to multi-task.
