We are seeking anexperienced Diesel Mechanic for our customer, County Materials locatedin Hazelhurst, WI. You will have the opportunity to work independentlyat this location and run your own shop. Military service members andveterans are encouraged to apply. Job Duties Troubleshoot and diagnoseequipment. Schedule and perform mechanical, hydraulic, and/or pneumaticrepairs on equipment as needed. Ensure safety guidelines are followed atall times and properly documented Provide emergency & unscheduledrepairs of equipment Perform general-purpose steel fabrication andwelding. Read and interpret equipment manuals in order to performnecessary repairs and/or equipment service. Use a variety of hand andpower tools, electric meters, material handling equipment, welders, andtorches in performing duties. Maintain work areas in clean and orderlycondition. Obtain quotes on parts and supplies and install parts tomachinery as needed. Communicate with vendors to ensure equipment isproperly maintained and installed. Communicate with dispatch and shopstaff to schedule equipment for maintenance Work Environment Work inindoor and outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or coldtemperatures Work near moving machinery and equipment - could includeelectrical hazards Work in a noisy environment Physical RequirementsSitting Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds Standing / Walking / ClimbingSquatting/Crouching/Kneeling/Bending Pushing / Pulling / Reaching AboveShoulder Experience & Qualifications 2+ years experience in dieselmechanics. Pro-active, multi-tasked, self-motivated team player andpositive attitude is a must.
