Description:
The basic function of the role is to be responsible for the daily set up and operation of the press. Responsibilities include:
Set up and operate Hydraulic / Mechanical presses for established work.
Select correct tooling for the given job task with set up documents or leaders assistance.
Load, install and correctly set-up dies as required.
Ability to prepare and run die forming operations using all features of the presses / controllers.
Must have a full understanding of print reading and geometric tolerances and how they relate to the finished stampings.
Thorough understanding of blank development lay out.
Ability to work well with others.
Work in an efficient and timely manner according to project timing.
Keep work area, including machine surface clean at all times.
Work with Material Handler to make sure material for each job is on schedule and in the proper location.
Work scheduled hours and report to work on time each day.
Pay attention to stamping details and quality.
Other duties as requested.
Skills Required:
Have solid understanding of press machines
Must possess the ability to operate cranes, tape measures and calipers, hand tools and torch.
Must be able to read and understand specifications, job orders, Bill of Materials, and work instructions.
Ability to communicate quality non-conformances verbally and effectively present information to supervisor, co-workers and management.
Must have knowledge/experience with measurement systems, variable gages, measurement scales, angle measurement instruments, calibration systems, blue prints and engineer drawings.
Ability to work in a TEAM environment.
Pay Rate/Shift:
$25-$30/hour based on experience
2nd Shift Opening - but training on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks
2pm/4pm (start time) - working 8-10 hours
Some Saturday's
48 - 58 hours a week

Press Operating
Die & Tool Setting
Ability to read blueprints
Crane/ forklift experience
Prototype experience
Die Tryout
Die development; ability to look at a blank and know how to build it into development
TEAM PLAYER (Can do attitude)
