JOB SUMMARY: The Diamond Saw Operator 2 is responsible for the programming, setup, and operation of various saws. WHAT YOU LL BE DOING: Loading and unloading saws with an overhead crane or by hand Reading production tickets to determine work to be completed Indexing the saw blades to the correct sizes and dimensions based on the stone being cut Loading pre-programmed profiles from the network Performing operator-level calibration and alignment of the saws Creating cutting and profile programs for all of the saws using AutoCAD Monitoring the saw during operation to make adjustments and corrections as needed Troubleshooting cutting problems that periodically arise Labeling all cut pieces with the correct job ID number SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: Must obtain forklift certification (training and certification provided by Coldspring for all employees who may be required to operate a forklift) Must have general computer and math skills Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, to avoid interruptions in production Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills Mechanically inclined Must be able to read work orders or production tickets, which may include dimensional drawings Ability to read a tape measure, imperial and metric Work as a self-motivated team member who adheres to all safety protocols and is willing to cross-train as needed MAKE YOUR MARK AND MAKE IT LAST .
