　　RATE: $100,000-120,000

　　JOB DESCRIPTION:

　　This position is responsible for completing the MDS assessment instrument, which includes ensuring that all comprehensive care plans have the application of CAAs for each resident/patient, establishing an MDS completion calendar while adhering to federal/state timeframes, coordinating interdisciplinary care services and performing audits. This position does not require providing any on-call nursing staff and administrative coverage.

　　RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Proactively maximize utilization and reimbursement

　　Monitor and assess MDS submissions and assist Clinical staff in ensuring assessments are accurately coded to present a complete picture of residents’ clinical status and services rendered

　　Review RUG scores

　　Identify opportunities for improvement and best practices

　　Provide consulting advice for divisional clinical support related to the MDS Assessment process. Develop and implement standardized training modules and training and in-servicing new and current MDS staff

　　REQUIREMENTS:

　　Minimum of five years of previous MDS experience required; seven years preferred

　　Prior supervisory experience preferred

　　Possess strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations about long-term care

　　Demonstrates knowledge of the Medicare and Medicaid RUG grouper categories and documentation guidelines

　　A Registered Nurse in the State of New York is required

　　A bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred

　　Experience with PointClickCare preferred

　　Ability to travel to facility locations as necessary
