POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Associate at Esperanza will support fundraising through constituents through high-quality maintenance of constituent information and records in the development database; support for event planning and execution; logistics related to timely and successful implementation of annual appeal and stewardship mailings; and related contracts and financial reports. The Donor Engagement Associate will provide vital administrative support for the individual donor experience across all stages of the donor life cycle, and form part of a successful Development team that is working to diversify giving opportunities on behalf of those Esperanza services in an expanding development program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Generate timely acknowledgment of donations and commitments, pledge reminders, and tax-deductible receipts.Maintain electronic files of confidential donor records.Maintain gift-tracking and confidential records related to donor solicitation strategies, history, and outreach in Esperanza's CRM system.Generate regular reports of gifts given and identify donors to flag for additional follow-up and stewardship by Donor Engagement Associate and SVP of Development.Ensure accurate data entry of gift information into Esperanza constituent relationship management database, including gifts from donor advised funds, employee giving via payroll deduction, and employee match programs.Pull additional reports on donor giving and other indicators of fundraising progress to track departmental goals for board reports, development committee reports, and senior leadership.Ensure the accuracy of donor and other constituent lists housed in the CRM for targeted mailings and update contact information as needed.Facilitate departmental mailings (i.e. acknowledgment letters, appeals, event invitations, new donor postcards) in a timely manner; and coordinate with vendors as needed.Execute logistics for fundraising and donor stewardship events.Ensure all policies and procedures for data entry for CRM system are kept current.Capture stories of transformation, impact, and success and liaise with the marketing department as needed to ensure requests for visibility of appeals or stories are submitted.```{=html}

DESIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Possesses strong writing and verbal communication skills.Must have at least one year's experience.Ability to operate a computer and use a variety of common software programs including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and customized databases.Solid relational skills as demonstrated by cooperative and professional interaction with co-workers, visitors, vendors, key stakeholders, and members of the community.Organizes and maintains detailed information and processes it efficiently and effectively.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a larger team with a high level of energy.Demonstrated ability to follow-up and follow-through with strong attention to detail.
