Job Details Position Summary: Desktop Analysts are the face to face contact with the user community. Desktop Analysts are responsible for responding to problems/requests about business applications and IT related hardware from CHS employees. The Desktop Analyst will gather all necessary information to regarding the user’s problem and utilize their skills and experience to resolve the issue. The Desktop Analyst will also answer “how to” questions and respond to other desktop requests. Desktop Analysts are knowledgeable in IT equipment builds and rollouts, software maintenance and installations. They provide support for remote locations. Desktop Analysts must have the ability to lift and move heavy computer equipment. They are responsible for carrying pager and participating in on-call duties. Duties and Responsibilities: Contributes to and consistently applies CHS Services’ policies, procedures and benefits to all customers and/or employees by effectively working with customers and CHS personnel without discrimination. Provides excellent customer service by ensuring that support services are delivered within service level agreements to meet customer business needs and expectations. Works with CHS employees to collect information pertaining to requests / problems. Receives tickets from action request system. Performs analysis of user requests / problems and works towards resolution. Documents all troubleshooting efforts on problem tickets. Contributes to team knowledge base. Resolve tickets as capable and escalate to other teams as necessary. Maintains knowledge of Desktop Support procedures, business area processes, and applications. Seeks to improve knowledge, skills and performance and is receptive to developmental feedback. Works independently and maintains a high degree of professional conduct at all times. Conducts himself/herself in conformity with all Compliance Assurance Standards and maintains a supportive attitude toward the mission and goals of Catholic Health Services. Plays an active role in the CHS information security awareness program by following and supporting all CHS information security policies and procedures to the best of their ability. This will include reporting any suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of policy to the appropriate management or reporting mechanism. Maintains competency by participating in continuing education and seminars specific to job responsibilities within CHS IT. Attends scheduled training and completes self-study courses. Acts as a technical resource to newer advocates. Assists in training newer advocates. Performs related duties as assigned and unrelated duties as requested. Position Requirements and Qualifications: Computer related courses at a certified career center. Degree in Information Systems/Computer Science desired. Advanced troubleshooting skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft OS and Office Automation products. Team player with the ability to multi-task. Basic understanding of networking essentials. Previous Help Desk or Customer Service experience. Working knowledge of popular Microsoft applications as well as IBM compatible desktop computers. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to work in stressful situations. Ability to work well with others. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to work well with others. Minimum three (3) years desktop support experience. Salary Range USD $64,000.00 - USD $87,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
