Your Impact:
Jacobs is looking to add a highly motivated and skilled professional to serve as a Design Review Coordinator for Design Review in support of a multi-billion-dollar airport capital Redevelopment Program in Chicago, IL . This role will play a critical part in the review, assessment, and evaluation of design projects to promote align with the Program’s vision of excellence. This redevelopment Program will occur in the middle of an active airport and the existing terminal and concourses will remain operational while the new facility is built in place in a phased approach. Reporting into the Design Manager, this position will provide you the opportunity to be a major contributor to the growth of one of the busiest airports in the world as part of the program management team. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to implement project-wide strategies, facilitate communication, and promote the successful execution of projects.
The position is part of a joint venture team and the selected candidate will be hired by Jacobs or one of the JV partners.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with design teams to review new and ongoing projects.
Assist in the development and implementation of program-wide strategies.
Communicate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and end users.
Create and develop visual and graphical materials to aid in project communication.
Provide support in analyzing project data and creating reports.
Database Management
Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, Xmind, Airtable, Excel, Python, and PowerBI.
Design review schedule management and coordination
Ensure quality is adhered to throughout design review process
Verify projects comply with program and code requirements
Assess potential project issues related to risks, materials, schedule, and costs
Assist in the coordination for technical and management decision-making
Coordinate, communicate and maintain frequent contact with the Management Team, Owner, Design Consultants, and other project stakeholders
Here's What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, planning, construction management, or related field
5+ years of related experience
Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Process oriented with strong organization skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with individuals at various technical levels.
Strong written, verbal, visual, and graphical communication skills
Ability to be based at the airport's onsite office with the program management team
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Ideally You’ll Also Have:
Facilities design or program management experience
Previous experience with review and coordination of plan documents
Proficiency in software tools such as Bluebeam, Airtable, Excel, Python, and PowerBI.
