  Ideal candidate will work Pacific Timezone hours and will be working from 10:00 AM Pacific to 7 PM Pacific Delivering high quality technical services to Critical customers

  As a member of the Support organization, your focus is to deliver post-sales support and solutions to the Oracle customer base while serving as an advocate for customer needs. This involves resolving post-sales non-technical customer inquiries via phone and electronic means, as well as, technical questions regarding the use of and solving for our Electronic Support Services. A primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with Support and providing advice and assistance to internal Oracle employees on diverse customer situations and advancing issues.

  As an Advisory Systems Engineer, you are encouraged to be an authoritative member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further, the Advisory Systems Engineer is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.

  Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Because of significant customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis with exceptional social skills, while consistently achieving the absolute highest levels of customer satisfaction. Both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience 8 years related experience prior to taking this position. In addition, experience with Oracle's core products, applications, and tools.

  A successful candidate will have hands on experience with

  Oracle Goldengate Implementations

  Oracle RAC Database Solving and administration

  In depth knowledge of Oracle Goldengate architecture

  In depth knowledge of Oracle ASM architecture

  In depth knowledge of Oracle RAC architecture

  In depth knowledge of Oracle Database Performance

  Thorough understanding of the Oracle database features

  Extensive hands on interaction with large Database management systems

  Good understanding of Support tools and Oracle diagnostics a plus

  Programming and solving knowledge in C , C+- Good knowledge on Unix, Linux and/or Windows operating systems

  US: Hiring Range: from $37.98 to $76.06 per hour; from $79,000 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity.

  Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

  Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
