　　Job Description:

　　What You'll Be Doing:

　　The intern will contribute to the development of a toolset that leverages HPC resources to provide an enduring capability for data ingestion, exploration, analytics, and reporting over potentially large, heterogeneous datasets. They will likely be involved in one or more of following focus points

　　One is on the analysis side, where the intern will

　　become familiar with the test data domain

　　conduct data exploration

　　determine a set of appropriate data elements and analytic techniques

　　develop explainable machine learning models

　　generalize those models

　　Two is on scaling of workflows, where the intern will

　　prototype various configurations for scaling up existing analytical workflows on the HPC systems

　　evaluating the approaches for effectiveness and performance

　　Third is on the operations side, where the intern will

　　become familiar with the existing toolset and processes

　　become familiar with existing ML work, study best practices and tools for ML operations

　　convert existing analysis into workflows

　　implement appropriate approaches to productionize the work into deployed ML models and data products

　　What Required Skills You'll Bring:

　　Some programming knowledge

　　General problem solving skills

　　What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

　　Statistics and data analysis knowledge

　　Linux familiarity, operating in the Unix terminal

　　Python programming experience

　　Basic data science, machine learning knowledge and/or coursework

　　Software engineering experience (e.g. standing up web servers, working with Docker containers)
