This individual will serve as the College expert in data visualization strategies using Tableau and other software. As part of the College Enhancement team, the Specialist will manage the collection and cleaning of data, along with analysis and creating visualizations for reporting results. This position will collaborate with other unit staff and College stakeholders in strategizing the continued development and creation/maintenance of a comprehensive data consumption platform for disseminating analyses. Additional duties include:• Create and maintain reports, visualizations, and other analyses for academic and operational departments, advisory boards and College administration, in order to provide real-time access to data which is actionable for making business decisions.• Conduct data mining projects to enhance College policies and operations. Disseminate results to College leadership and other stakeholders.• Write SQL queries as needed to extract pertinent data for analyses when standard data views/tables do not provide data as needed.• Ensure all data projects meet the guidelines for regional accreditation (SACSCOC), business school accreditation (Association for the Advancement of Collegiate Schools of Business or AACSB) and ensure that all FERPA guidelines are followed.All eligible candidates must have previous experience utilizing Tableau for data visualizations. Experience with writing SQL coding is preferred but not required.The Gatton College of Business and Economics is nearing its 100th anniversary.
