Key duties encompass the regular updating of the curriculum, creation of dynamic courses, and provision of student support, both in group settings and one-on-one. Candidates must hold an Associate's degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field, a CompTIA CySA+ certification, and minimum of 3 years of experience acquired by full-time working in the field of IT networking. Demonstrated communication and presentation skills are essential. Candidates with a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, engineering, or a related field, additional certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ and Network+, CEH, CISM, CISA, and CISSP, and experience in developing online course materials and curriculum design will be given preference.Pay, Benefits & Work ScheduleAdjunct Professor is typically assigned as needed on a quarterly basis, with no expectation of continued employment beyond the current appointment.Compensation is $40.41 - $80.00 per hour. Individuals newly hired to Adjunct Professor group at the college are placed at the minimum rate per union bargaining agreement. Certain positions may also be eligible for assignment/project-based additional compensation, including a High Demand Stipend up to $8,350 annually, prorated based on the discipline and duration of the assignment.
