Starting salary for this position is: $3,075 (Monthly).
Employees starting at the entry step of this range receive salary step advancement after six months and every 12 months thereafter. If an employee starting at anything higher than the entry step of the range, will have salary step advancement after 12 months and salary step advancement every 12 months thereafter until they reach the top of the salary range. Each salary step advancement will be approximately a 5% increase in salary.

The Community Colleges of Spokane is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual for the position of HR Consultant Assistant 1 in the District Administration Division.
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Chief Culture and Development Officer, this position performs technical and paraprofessional human resources duties that support Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) employee development and training programs, faculty tenure review, and other department operations and initiatives overseen by the Culture and Development Office.
This is an in-training position that allows for growth in the Human Resources Consultant Assistant (HRCA) series. The series will progress from an HRCA 1 to HRCA 2 after demonstrated abilities and competencies throughout the HR Office.
This is a project position with an anticipated end date of 1/31/2027.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support employee development and training programs including CCS' leadership, management, and employee development programs offered through the Culture and Development Office, CCS' Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-Racism (EDI-AR) training program, and risk management training.
Provide technical support and logistics (scheduling, room preparation, arranging for presentation technology). *Provide in-person and online program support. *Track attendance and issue certifications. *Coordinate with HR learning management software (LMS) staff to ensure accurate training records. *Support faculty tenure review processes.
Coordinate records management for the faculty tenure review process. *
Maintain timelines, build tenure files, gather materials, and request missing documentation. *
Escalate issues to the attention of the Associate Chief. *
Issue final copies to the committee chair and probationary faculty member. *
Prepare board of trustees' agenda tabs and process and issue notices of tenure decisions. *
