　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　The Cat Scan Tech produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas in accordance with established practices and procedures.

　　Performs Computerized Tomography Scans following protocols outlined and provided by Radiologists.

　　Review of physician orders and diagnoses prior to scanning, will discuss with Radiologist as needed

　　Reviews appropriate Lab values prior to administration of IV Contrast.

　　Utilization of iSTAT to obtain Lab results.

　　Use of power injector for contrast administration.

　　Perform Scanner Quality Control testing as needed.

　　Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns

　　Assists physicians with invasive procedures

　　Utilizes knowledge of age specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities

　　Qualifications:

　　Graduate of an accredited program for Radiographers

　　Currently licensed through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with advanced certification in CT or must obtain advanced certification through ARRT within 12 months of hire date.

　　Current state licensure or permit to practice medical imagining

　　Customer service abilities including effective listening skills

　　Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment

　　Certification: BLS and ARRT must be maintained throughout employment with Terre Haute Regional Hospital
