  DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis is a professional supervisory position within the agency.  You will require knowledge in case management and social work principles, practices and methodologies, as well as knowledge of basic principles of supervision, organization, and training. The intake supervisor must possess knowledge of rules, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures governing child welfare and show the ability to evaluate work of subordinates and provide assistance and guidance.  You will possess skills in negotiation, advocacy, organization, data management, human relations, and engagement.  You will also be required to fulfill all requirements set forth by the Department of Public Welfare for the certification of child welfare Supervisor and the Agency for continued civil service employment.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.  REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; orAny equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.Other Requirements:This particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
