OPPORTUNITY The Corporate Quality Manager will provide leadership and management for the quality function and sustain the quality philosophy and CI culture for the organization. Establish, maintain and optimize an effective quality management system. Create and implement a quality plan to achieve the levels of quality established through organizational goals, customer expectations, and related stakeholders. Enhance and improve Alexandria Industries products through the implementation of QMS certifications, problem-solving tools, prevention methods, quality-at-the-source and continual improvement techniques. Management Representative for Quality Systems. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished. Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety-oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines Develop and implement department goals and key measures that align with the mission, vision and values of the organization Continuously build relationships throughout the department and company in order to best serve and support co-workers and employees Responsible for customer quality issues and entering them into the corrective action database, working with QROC members and other managers to resolve quality issues as requested or required by customers Responsible to ensure the organization is maintaining an adherence to quality control plans and processes Responsible for document control system at AI and assist in updating the system as needed Understand and be able to reference Aluminum Association standards and data Leads a team of Quality professionals to ensure the business is achieving its quality goals and improvement plan by establishing scorecards. Work with Engineering and Sales to support market strategy and product development Partner with Continuous Improvement to drive Quality process improvement initiatives to reduce customer complaints and internal scrap including developing and overseeing department project planning Participate in customer visits and quality related customer audits at all A.I. facilities Maintain and oversee the document control and quality record system Responsible for internal training as needed ISO Measurement Representative responsible for internal and external ISO audits, maintaining most recent ISO certification and facilitate management review per the ISO standard Maintain and oversee the CAPA system / database Lead internal audits at all A.I. facilities and follow up on findings Assist with registrar and supplier audits at all A.I. facilities OTHER JOB DUTIES (Not considered essential to the job) Perform all other related assignments (including special projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors of Science in Metallurgy or Material Science, other technical degrees will be considered ASQ certification preferred Six Sigma Black Belt preferred Experience in regulated industry preferred Experience: 8-10 years preferred in leadership and manufacturing Aluminum extrusion experience is preferred Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Profi ient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Ability to utilize the proper inspection and measurement equipment Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer relation skills and ability to interact at a high level with all levels of the organization Excellent blueprint reading skills with a good understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Ability to lead Auditor training through AQS Knowledge of AS400/Powerlink Strong organizational and project management skills Knowledgeable in root cause analysis and corrective action Ability to travel up to 25-30% and work flexible hours Ability to provide strong servant leadership to support team members Ability to take part in continuous education and training BENEFITS Medical and Dental Insurance, a Flexible Spending Account, a robust Wellness Program, and a Family Health & Wellness Clinic (Alexandria location), provide our employees with valuable resources to help them care for their physical well-being.
