Description

　　We are seeking an experienced product and advertising/marketing lawyer to join the Amazon Legal team supporting Project Kuiper. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

　　As a rising-star Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for counseling the Kuiper team on product counseling and marketing/advertising issues globally. You will handle legal issues in business-centric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.

　　This position is based in Redmond, WA or Seattle, WA. Some travel, domestic and international, may be required.

　　Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active membership in one state bar

　　5+ years experience as an attorney

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　3+ years experience in a national or international law firm or in-house law department

　　Experience advising on marketing and advertising legal issues

　　Ability to learn new areas of law at warp speed

　　Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams

　　Strong written and oral communication skills

　　Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $123,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
