Senior F-5 Certified Big-IP Admin

We are looking for an eager and energetic F5 Certified BIG-IP Subject Matter Expert (SME) who can perform day to day operations and troubleshooting of TMOS-based devices to join our team supporting the Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) out of Ft. Huachuca, Arizona. The F5 Certified BIG-IP Administrator will be a part of a diverse team supporting a globally distributed information system, responsible for the analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks.
HOW A SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR SENIOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Manages all F5 BIG-IP components for a globally dispersed information system.
Assist in managing load balance traffic and viewing statistics and logs.
Execute TCPDUMP activities and reporting on BIG-IP Systems.
Responsible for shutting down and restarting BIG-IP Systems
Deliver high availability services within the local LAN/MAN/WAN
Provide load balancing administration and support for DNS routing between enterprise locations.
Save and replicate configuration data and oversee its transition onto a BIG-IP System
Define user roles and administrative partitions.
Configure, locate, manage, and recognize iRules components within the GUI and CLI.
Troubleshoot virtual server connectivity issues, hardware, and basic performance.
Troubleshoot complex network problems, network device configurations and coordinate with various department administrators to facilitate connectivity issue resolution
Maintains F5 BIG-IP security and ensures compliance with security policies and procedures.
Maintains F5 BIG-IP appliances by applying patches and performing firmware upgrades.
Responsible for opening support tickets with F5 and must provide detailed reports for current device status.
Interfaces with vendor to ensure resolution during F5 BIG-IP outages or periods of reduced performance.
Develops testing strategies and document results.
Design and document technical solutions
Provides advice and basic operation training to internal and external customers.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree: BS in Information Technology or Computer Science related field or equivalent years of experience
Certifications: Security+ required. Following are good to have: 8570 baseline certification: IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
Required Experience: 6+ years of related experience in F5 administration
Required Technical Skills: F5, Networking, troubleshooting, proxy experience
Familiarity with VMware virtualization.
Experience with LTM, APM, GTM and DNS desired
Must have an in-depth understanding of GUI troubleshooting tools, TCP dumps and other utilities.
.Must have a high level understanding of networking fundamentals.
Must be able to investigate basic device management connectivity problems.
Understanding of Linux system administration desired
Understanding of programming/scripting knowledge such as Python, Ansible a plus
