Description:
They do custom orders for clients which leads to sometimes easy or more tedious design changes. This position's primary responsibility will be reading/ interpreting wiring diagrams, as well as troubleshooting electrical systems on the vehicle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
The best candidate will have 3+ years of experience designing/troubleshooting electrical components in a manufacturing environment. The best candidate will also have experience working with heavy industrial equipment design and/or automotive experience. The best candidate collaborates their ideas with the team and takes feedback well.
Bachelors Degree is required- (Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics)
Experience troubleshooting electrical systemsa. Working with diagnostic tools (multi-meters, test lights, etc.)
b. Using PCAN or other CAN-tracing software
c. Over-the-phone with the service team for field issues
Comfort with performing wire harness design and documentationa. Creating harness drawings and schematics using Visio/Solidworks Electrical
i. Previously used software
b. 3D routing experience
c. Converting older drawings to meet current standards
Experience with CAD systemsa. Creating new part files (with supplier models for purchased parts)
b. Creating assemblies and mating
c. Creating drawing files, adding views and bills of materials
Controls knowledgea. Experience with Codesys software
b. Experience with IFM hardware and software
c. Knowledge of ladder logic and function block programming
d. CANBUS (J1939, CANopen)
