Job Summary:
Engages actively in case finding by reviewing pathology reports, malignancy lists, surgical schedules and clinic records to identify oncology cases diagnosed and treated at Trinitas
Completes abstracts on all cancer patients and reports these cases as per state regulations within six months of diagnosis or discharge
Maintains follow-up records on all cancer patients
Maintains all computer data on all cancer patients through the Electronic Registry Systems
Collaborate with physicians and other team members to develop annual goals and quality/PI studies
Follows ACOS-CoC/NAPBC guidelines in all registry activities and keeps the CoC/NAPBC team apprised of changes of all standards
Coordinate Tumor Board Conferences
Job Requirements:
Cancer Tumor Registry CTR Certification, or Oncology Data Specialist (ODS) required
Previous cancer registry experience required
