Description We are seeking a Controller to be a part of our team based in Sioux City, Iowa. The role is pivotal in the Agriculture industry and primarily involves monitoring daily sales, financial reporting, and providing support for financial analysis. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct the accounting staff.

• Develop, maintain, and present timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and audit reports.

• Collaborate with customer service teams to track daily sales, commitments, pre-sales, inventory levels, and net-backs.

• Handle various month-end close responsibilities.

• Ensure accuracy in sales reconciliation, reporting, and cut-off.

• Manage variance reporting for sales, price, customer, product, source, volume, etc.

• Take charge of inventory reconciliation and reporting.

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of freight expense.

• Complete monthly and quarterly internal management reporting.

• Provide input for Sales Operations Planning process.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting of Profit Loss, balance sheet, and cash flows.

• Assist with the evaluation and monitoring of internal control effectiveness.

• Maintain attention to detail and manage tasks effectively.

• Foster a positive team environment and contribute to individual projects as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in 3M is required for this role

• Experience in utilizing Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is necessary

• Proficiency in using CRM systems

• Knowledge of Crystal Reports is a plus

• Proficiency in various Accounting Functions

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prior experience in Auditing is preferred

• Familiarity with Budget Processes in the agriculture industry is a plus
