About Controller

  If you are a Finance professional looking for an opportunity to grow with an industry leader, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Marshalltown, IA location. You will have general accounting management responsibility for the North America Flow Controls and Global HQ organizations. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining an environment that ensures the integrity of the financial statements of the entity. You will report to the North America Finance Director and be a business partner to the leadership on all strategic and tactical matters relating to accounting policies and procedures.

  In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  Lead accounting functions and processes performed by a shared service and at the site to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

  Handle financial performance of balance sheet measures.

  Implement and monitor effective internal controls and procedures, direct financial related audits, and reviews of operational processes to support those controls.

  Direct the annual tax reporting process in partnership with the corporate tax team.

  Run site financial system and procedures to support strategic business initiatives and system implementations.

  Provide leadership and development of the finance and accounting staff and provide financial leadership to the site executive team.

You have a clear understanding of collaborators business priorities and persist in the face of challenges and setbacks.

  For This Role, You Will Need:

  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  Eight (8) years of related experience, including three (3) years of management/supervision

  Skilled in handling financial presentations and communicating with management personnel on all levels

  Strong computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word, and experience with EPR Systems

  Excellent communication; skills both verbal and written

  Legal Authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this role

  Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  Master of Business Administration or other related Master's Program

  Knowledge of Oracle systems

  Experience in a Manufacturing environment
