Job Title: Contracts Manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Contracts Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the management and review of contracts from inception to conclusion, involving technology agreements, re-seller agreements, service agreements, and software agreements. The candidate will have experience liaising with multiple business lines and external clients and customers. This position reports directly to the Interim General Counsel. Familiarity with using Westlaw is a necessity.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all stages of contract management, from formation to completion.
Draft, review, and assess various types of contracts, including technology agreements, re-seller agreements, service agreements, and software agreements.
Work proactively with different business units, clients, and customers to finalize contracts, ensuring optimal outcomes for the organization.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to streamline contract management.
Manage relationships with customers and external clients, ensuring compliance with contracts and solving any potential contractual issues.
Consult and escalate complex legal and risk management issues to the Interim General Counsel.
Utilize Westlaw for legal research and contract management tasks.
Ensure accurate contracting processes and record maintenance.
Requirements - Less than one year of experience required
Trained in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers
Handle reviewing and drafting non-disclosure agreements, like software evaluation and licensing agreements
Manage various assignments, tasks, and projects in a fast-paced environment
Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) certification, or equivalent
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
Ideal candidate must have adept computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systemsThe ideal candidates will possess strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
Adeptness in contracts
Contract law experience preferred
General familiarity with Negotiate Contracts
Experience with contracting
Deep understanding of contract negotiation
Comprehensive knowledge of Commercial Contracts
Demonstrated knowledge of Legal Contracts
Contract administration experience required
Bachelor's degree
Ability to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines
Very organized in order to track and monitor contracts for future obligations, expiration dates and other contractual deadlines
