  Collins Aerospace is seeking to hire a Textile Operator I to join our Carbon Brake team in Pueblo Colorado. We create and ship out new carbon for aviation braking systems. You will learn the set-up, calibration, and operation of machines used in textile production processes. You will have the opportunity to be trained to use Preform Lectra System, Forklifts, Scissor Lifts and power tools.

  Position works onsite at our Pueblo, CO location.

  Shift information: 4 days on - 4 days off schedule. Rotating between day shift (6:00am - 6:00pm) and night shift (6:00pm - 6:00am)

  Primary Responsibilities

  Adhere to all engineering instruction, standard operation procedures, and all departmental procedures.

  Learn and assist with data entry requirements and process documentation

  Become proficient in the set-up and operation of all Textile manufacturing and test equipment

  Learn and perform all in-process Quality checks, this includes statistical process control, Areal Weight, Mahlo, VMS

  Learn and perform Equipment Preventative Maintenance

  Observe and follow all environmental, health and safety procedures

  Basic learn troubleshooting skills

  Operate support equipment such as: Preform Lectra System, Forklifts, Scissor Lifts, Power Tools,

  Load and unload Needle Boards per recipes and needle rotation requirements

  Meet the target productivity levels established for the department

  Complete tasks as assigned by your management team

  Assist other departments as necessary with approval from your management team

  Participate in Continuous Improvement and CORE activities

  Maintain a clean and organized work area

  Be familiar and assist with the department Dive process

  Comply with all other company policies and procedures

  May be asked to lift boxes and other equipment up to 35 lbs.

  Ability to work rotating shift and/or extended hours is required

  Perform additional duties as assigned

  Basic Qualifications

  HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

  Preferred Qualifications

  1 year of relevant experience or demonstration of mechanical aptitude

  Past industrial or manufacturing environment work experience

  The salary range for this role is $33,571.00 - $45,427.00. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
