The Configuration Supervisor leads a multi-skilled team in the development, planning and coordination of programs and activities necessary to seamlessly alter the configuration of critical facilities infrastructure, space, systems and equipment at the Joint Defense Facility Pine Gap.
The Configuration Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of facilities infrastructure being provided to the Operations building. This includes but is not limited to, the provision and monitoring of cabling, power, space and cooling as it pertains to that building. Review of planned works and oversight of facilities infrastructure changes necessary to incorporate those works is essential. Reporting of power and cooling requirements ensures that Configuration Supervisor remains across requirements and deliverables for the facilities infrastructure.
The Configuration Supervisor provides a professional service in the supervision of an allocated team, including responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating, scheduling, training, mentoring, and resource and performance management. The Configuration Supervisor is accountable for the efficient functioning of their team, including the oversight and execution of critical system configuration changes, while ensuring high levels of service are maintained. This role also ensures that the configuration management function is delivered in a manner that maximises equipment availability while minimising mission risk.
This position plays an integral role within a diverse and complex work environment that is responsible for the management and control of critical infrastructure configuration, and is a key advisor of the Project, O&M and customer teams across the Program Site.
Essential Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise the assigned personnel in the management and control of critical infrastructure configuration and associated documentation ensuring change management practices are being followed.
Lead and supervise a team in the planning, coordination, execution and administration of tasks in support of critical infrastructure management and changes.
Prepare, develop, update and manage documentation relevant to facility standard configuration
Review and provide technical advice on proposed changes to facility infrastructure and systems, from general concepts through to detailed IFC designs.
Support stakeholder engagement, communication and requirement definition
Facilitate and co-ordinate space management processes and the delivery of space planning services.
Support the integration, coordination, compilation and communication of technical information, recommendations and advice relevant to facility infrastructure, systems and equipment.
Maintain system of record for space within SOW requirements
Ensure compliance with all site environmental health and safety requirements
Any other reasonable duties as requested
Minimum Qualifications:
Certificate IV or equivalent in any relevent field
Driver's License
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government issued Top Secret, or Australian issued TSPV security clearance.
