  Job Description

  At Safran Seats, we are unique within aerospace, as we interface with both the world's biggest airlines and airframers alike, with the largest seats portfolio of all seats suppliers. One day you could be liaising with one of the world's largest airframers, and the next, some of the biggest airline brands around the world!

  In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

  The purpose of this role is to establish and maintain the Configuration Management System (CMS) in relation with the Quality Management and Information Systems.

  Key Responsibilities will include:

  • To plan, deploy and maintain the organisations Configuration Management System (CMS)

  • To continuously verify the consistency, performance and compliance of the CMS and report through a suite of key performance indicators.

  • To establish, lead and improve the effectiveness of the change control process - maintaining roles and responsibilities for CCB leaders and team members.

  • To ensure standardisation of engineering change across the organisation and maintain alignment to group processes and procedures.

  • To prepare and produce configuration reports

  Job Requirements

  Educated to Degree level

  Experience of working within Configuration Management

  Excellent problem solving skills

  Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
