A day in the life (just a few of the things you may do on any given day): As a NetBackup Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our backup environment, ensuring the availability and integrity of our data. You will excel in this role if you are: • Enjoys a fast-paced environment. • Excellent customer service skills • Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment. • Accuracy and attention to detail, must have organizational skills. • Independent problem solver with troubleshooting, decision making and analytical skills. • Requires limited supervision. • Self-motivated • Self-starter • Time management skills • Flexibility and adaptability to handle competing work demands. • Verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to communicate to nontechnical audience on technical issues. • Demonstrated ability to communicate on a technical level to a technical audience. • Ability to work flexible hours and be on-call. • Ability to do limited travel (0 - 4 times a year) What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have): • 6+ years of experience with Veritas NetBackup (experience with version 10+ a plus) • Experience with NetBackup FlexScale (experience with Flex and Access appliances a plus) • Configure and manage backups leveraging Veritas NetBackup or other backup solutions • Monitor backup jobs across multiple platforms and maintain backup policies and standards. • Troubleshoot performance problems and propose solutions. • Perform routine disaster recovery scenarios. • Maintain and upgrade servers and applications to mitigate security vulnerabilities. • Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include FlexScale Appliances, NetBackup Standalone Servers, MSDP Disk, Tape libraries, Tape Drives (LTO8). • Administer On-Site and Off-Site tape and manage tape rotation • 6+ years of experience with RHEL Linux and MS-Windows environments • Installation and configuration experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux 7 and higher, Windows Server 2016 and higher. • 6+ years of experience with VMWare 6.x or greater • Experience with network communication (IP based) and strong understanding of TCP/IP communications. • Create and maintain documentation. • Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to be a team player. • Participate in 24x7 on-call support rotation and expected to work during critical situations. • Follow ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) practices for Change Management What we will provide in return: Excellent compensation and amazing benefits • Multiple health insurance options which include a PPO plan with ZERO deductibles and an HSA plan. • 401k Immediate Vesting.
