The selected candidate will join a strong team of health researchers who work on a diversified portfolio of implementation, monitoring, and evaluation projects funded by Federal Agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and state and local governments. Learn more about AIR's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy and hear from our staff by clicking here.ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities for the position include:Designing and implementing compliance and monitoring approaches to support innovative healthcare delivery and payment models.Overseeing analysis of large data sets, such as Medicare/Medicaid claims.Leading and conducting policy analysis and staying current on emerging policy issues and literature.Managing and contributing to the development of proposals and writing of technical reports and public-facing content, tailored to the client and customer needs.Developing and conducting presentations to government clients.Effectively coaching others to promote their development; set developmental goals and measurements for staff.Fostering an environment that embraces diverse perspectives, abilities, racial/ethnic and cultural backgrounds, ages, gender identities and expressions, educational experiences, and life stories.QualificationsEducation, Knowledge, and Experience:Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in health services research, public policy, public health, economics or a related social science field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in research or operations projects.Knowledge of Alternative Payment Models.Experience with mixed-methods monitoring and compliance methods, including the ability to interpret results from statistical measures and document reviews.Experience collecting and analyzing information from doctors, hospitals and other healthcare providers participating in healthc
