　　About This Role:

　　The Department of Statistics is seeking qualified applicants for two12-month tenure-track positions at the assistant or associate professorlevel with a preferred but flexible start in January 2024. Dutiesinclude interdisciplinary statistical consulting and collaborativeresearch with faculty and students primarily in the agriculturalsciences, advising PhD and MS students in statistics,departmental/university service, and teaching courses for graduate andadvanced undergraduate students. The teaching load will be a maximum oftwo courses per academic year. Applicants will obtain affiliation and/ora partial appointment with the newly established Institute for DigitalAgriculture and Advanced Analytics (ID3A) and participate in newuniversity initiatives across campus. Depending on interest, qualifiedapplicants may also be considered for Director of the StatisticalConsulting Laboratory.

　　An earned PhD in statistics, biostatistics, data science or appliedmathematics or a PhD in an agricultural discipline (e.g., agronomyor animal science) with a master\'s degree in statistics.Prior experience in statistical consultingPrior interdisciplinary research experienceDemonstrated potential for teaching excellenceStrong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work productively with a diverse studentbody with varied mathematical abilitiesPreferred Qualifications:
