Position Description
Provide hands-on compensation support for a wide range of projects designed to support business strategies. Assist in the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs and policies which may include short- and long-term incentives, reward and recognition programs, benchmarking and survey analysis, emerging trends and new technologies.
Complete salary surveys
Complete job descriptions and conduct related compensation analysis (i.e. job leveling/evaluation/matching)
Analyzes salary survey data and prepares market data reports and summaries to advise management on appropriate action
Works with HR Representatives and HR Management to analyze and resolve Compensation issues
Assist with the planning and administration of annual merit/bonus/LTIP programs
Assists with the analysis of market data to determine appropriate budget for Annual Incentive and Salary Administration processes
Monitors competitive trends in compensation and identifies company's position; provides observations and recommendations based on market trends
Understands FLSA regulations and analyzes jobs to determine appropriate FLSA classification
Compile ad-hoc reports as required for planning, policy, or budgeting purposes
Participate in and/or lead special compensation projects, as required
Position Requirements
Education • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or business-related degree. Experience/specific knowledge: • 4 + years compensation experience, including market analysis, salary management, incentives, performance management, compliance, and program administration. • Experience in natural gas pipeline, liquid pipeline, E&P, and/or terminals business preferred.
• Experience with Long Term Incentive Plans preferred.
Certifications, licenses, registrations: • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or progress towards CCP preferred Competencies, skills, and abilities: • Intermediate to advanced understanding of broad-based compensation plans, policies and programs and of laws and regulations with the ability to put that understanding into practice with minimal assistance. • Demonstrated analytical skills used to analyze information/data, identify issues, develop solutions and deliver on recommendations. • Strong mathematical skills including statistics and modeling.
Incumbent may be called upon to represent the function in special projects. • Strong customer service skills, including ability to work with all levels of employees and to respond promptly, thoroughly, and accurately to requests and inquiries. • Intermediate to advanced communication and presentation skills. • Excellent computer skills, including 1) advanced expertise in Excel with willingness to work hands-on in the detail and in the analysis, 2) proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and 3) ability to use HRIS and online tools. • Aptitude for learning new systems and technologies. Physical Demands: • Office environment with minimal physical demands. • Extended periods of sitting may be required for extensive computer work. Working Conditions: • Controlled conditions within a corporate office environment. Supervisory responsibility: • None Preferred education, experience, certifications, competencies, skills, and responsibilities: • MBA or Master's degree in HR or business-related discipline.
MarketPay and Power BI experience preferred.
