We are currently seeking a motivated and customer-oriented COMEXT Signals Analyst to join our team in Laurel, Maryland . Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Analyzing, processing, collecting, and reporting on COMINT signals data.
Evaluating RF COMEXT datasets and verifying processor fidelity.
Providing feedback on intelligence collection to enhance the quality, quantity, duration, and appropriateness of collection activities.
Participating in target research to query, retrieve, analyze, and integrate large volumes of information and signal data.
Performing data manipulation and tagging to support extended-enterprise collaboration, information sharing, and the FMS program.
Conducting technical reference file training for a global user base.
Assisting in the testing and evaluation of CED functions.
Performing quality control of databases for current and legacy systems.
Performing data sanitization, dissemination, and distribution of technical reports.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science and 4 years of technical experience in analysis, processing, collection, and reporting, or 9 years of experience without a degree.
Experience providing feedback on intelligence collection to improve its quality, quantity, duration, and appropriateness.
Knowledge of communication theory principles, methods, and applications, including signal processing, decision theory, estimation theory, modulation-demodulation, multiplexing, forward error-correction, and randomizers.
Understanding of collection capabilities, limitations, and conflicts across platforms and sources, and knowledge of data flow to ensure collection volume and quality.
Experience with data processing using mapping tools, algorithms, intelligence reports, and display tools.
Familiarity with communication devices, technology, characteristics, components, functions, capabilities, and operations, including high-powered cordless phones (HPCP's), digital and analog push-to-talk (PTT), cellular phones, satellite phones, and VSATs.
Knowledge of intermediate digital signals processing techniques such as digitizing analog signals, deinterleaving, digitization, signal-to-noise ratio, filtering, and Doppler corrections.
Ability to conduct target research, retrieve and analyze large amounts of information and signal data, recognize relationships between traffic and tasking, and identify potential collection opportunities and enhancements.
Ability to identify standard and non-standard formats and protocols in RF COMEXT data.
Experience in documenting analytic findings and providing input for knowledge databases.
Experience with customer Combined Emitter Database (CED) is preferred.
