The college and career transition coach (CCTC) will work directly through Southwestern Community College and selected secondary schools to support college transition and career exploration. The CCTC will work closely with students in grades 11 and 12 in partner high schools and as part of the first-year support system for students coming out of this program and entering SWCC. The CCTC will provide additional targeted support to school counseling programs in the college and career domain and work with a variety of stakeholders. The CCTC may also have the opportunity to teach courses through SWCC.
The CCTC needs to have demonstrated focus on student success. The individual will possess well-developed skills in oral and written communication, be detailed oriented in their work, and be able to maintain a flexible work schedule. A masters degree in a related field is preferred along withexperience in secondary and/or postsecondary education settings and in programs serving low-income, minority, and English Language Learners and families. A bachelors degree is required.
This is a full-time, 10-month position with benefits. This is a grant-funded position that will be re-evaluated at the end of the funding period (July 2025). The CCTC will be based out of the Osceola Center. Review of applications will begin upon receiving qualified applicants and will continue until the position is filled.
