Description:
CNC Lathe Operator will be running the machine and responsible for the output of parts. On a daily basis the CNC Lathe Operator will loading material, conducting cycle starts, and unloading material. Candidates in the opportunity will also be doing tooling and insert changes, making offsets, inspecting parts by blueprint using various measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, and documenting production runs. They will also be responsible for making minor edits in the program using G&M codes. Once trained the Lathe Operator will be performing set ups on Okuma, Daewoo, and Mori Seiki Lathes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
CNC Lathe Operating experience
Blueprint reading
Ability to use quality measurement tools including; Digital Micrometers, Calipers, and Gauges
Candidate will be working with bronze, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, aluminum
Average Production runs are around 6-7 hours, but this can vary based on the machined part. Runs can range from 14 to 400 parts.
Machinists with job shop experience is a huge plus
Will work with very tight tolerances (.0003)
