  Description

  CNA 2 – Cardiology Unit at Providence Portland Medical Center. This unique position offers the opportunity to be cross-trained in telemetry services to read heart rhythms for patients! This dual role offers patient-facing experience as well as telemetry-based work. The hours of the position are 7pm to 7:30am, 3 shifts per week, rotating holidays and weekends.

  Extra Incentives:

  Evening shift differential – $ 2.25 p/hr

  Night shift differential – $4.00 p/hr

  $4,000 hiring bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment

  Lyra Caregiver Assistance program- Up to 25 counseling or coaching sessions per eligible member per year

  In this position you will:

  Contribute to a high functioning team

  Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers

  Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights

  Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests

  Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices

  Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference

  Other duties as assigned

  The Certified Nursing Assistant 2 (CNA 2) assists a Registered Nurse (RN) in providing comprehensive nursing care by performing specified duties and functions under the direct supervision of the RN.

  Required Qualifications:

  Completion of Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) recognized Acute Care CNA 2 course.

  CNA 2 coursework: Grandfathered to CNA 2 per OSBN requirements.

  Upon hire: Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License

  Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

  Preferred Qualifications:
