Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Cloud Support Engineer who holds an active secret clearance.

The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution that enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle.

This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable environment delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Cloud Support Engineer at GDIT. This vital role will serve as Tier 2 Support for end users and administrators within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) System.

The duties of a Cloud Support Engineer will include:

Responsibilities:

User Account Maintenance

End User software installation and support (Windows Desktops, Linux Instances, and Workspaces)

Security Group maintenance

Instance deployment and bootstrapping

CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible playbook execution

Security compliance evaluation, triage, resolution, and dissemination

Develop and execute onsite monitoring checklist and tools (Patching success/fail/shepherding, Application availability, Service availability,SSO health)

Product deployment support for execution teams (IaC Execution, well described process documentation)

KMS documentation (PPI)

User (de)provisioning

Desktop/workspace (de)provisioning

User connectivity troubleshooting

User access requests for defined roles

Initial triage/escalation for inbound Service Requests

Minimum/General Experience/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or additional years of experience

A minimum of 2+ years in systems administration for hybrid//cloud/on-prem environments with Linux and Windows servers

Experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture

Comfortability using Linux command line

DoD 8570 IAT II certification (such as CompTIA Security + CE, CISSP, etc)

Active Secret Clearance or higher, with ability to upgrade/maintain a Top Secret Clearance

Preferred Requirements:

Active DoD Top Secret clearance

Certified in AWS (such as Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or Solutions Architect Professional certification)

Linux bash scripting

Windows PowerShell

Experience working in Agile teams

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
