  Cloud Security Advisor - GCP

  Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). An ideal candidate must live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations listed here: Atlanta, GA; Indianapolis, IN; Norfolk, VA; Richmond, VA; Houston, TX

  The Cloud Security Advisor - GCP acts as a trusted advisor in Cloud Security Governance conducting net new adherence, reviews and assessments that will be required for Business Units going into Google Cloud Platform(GCP). Book time and potentially report on work performed related to GCP. This individual will consult and support enterprise information security policies, technical standards, guidelines, procedures, and other elements of an infrastructure necessary to support information security in .compliance with established company policies, regulatory requirements, and generally accepted information security controls

  How you will make an impact :

  Conducts compliance assessments by understanding business objectives, structure, policies and procedures, internal controls, and external regulations.

  Performs continuous readiness and remediation tracking of cloud services and applications compliance, consult on managing risks for data protection and partners on application/platform cloud security risk reviews.

  Documents system technical operations, manual and automated processes and controls using descriptive and risk-focused narratives.

  Assesses the effectiveness of process and management controls against cloud control requirements defined to maintain required access, data and privacy protections.

  Develops testing plans to ensure quality of implementation;

  Leads the investigation and reporting of data security events and incidents;

  Provides technical support to business and technology associates in risk assessments and implementation of appropriate information security procedures, standards and technologies;

  Recommends changes and updates to strategy;

  May organize the efforts of other analysts as part of incident recovery;

  Leads root cause analysis efforts

  ​ Minimum Qualifications:

  Requires BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years experience in systems support, system administration, system engineering, system security, access management, network security, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, and/or data; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. Requires experience in planning and designing highly complex systems.Preferred Skills, Experiences and Competencies:

  Strong GCP knowledge and experience

  Cloud Risk Models

  AWS, Azure, OCI experience and/or knowledge

  Assessment/audit skills

  CSA CCM knowledge

  Expertise in determining adherence to cloud requirements

  Security Certifications: CISSP or other technical security certifications (e.g. Systems Security Certified Practitioner, Certification and Accreditation Professional) strongly preferred.
