In this Clinical Social Worker role at the award-winning Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital, you will work with patients hospitalized on the Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry Unit and their families. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mental health challenges faced by young patients, and the interventions used to aid healing.
Patients are hospitalized with acute symptoms and behaviors related to autism spectrum, mood disorders, thought disorders and personality disorders. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the psychological, social, emotional, and basic needs of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans.
Implement interventions tailored to the needs of children and adolescents.
Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
Offer guidance and education to families, helping them understand their child's condition and care needs.
Plan discharge from hospital, including advocating for patients' rights and coordinating with community resources.

CSW 2 salary range: $44.19 - $52.79 Hourly
CSW 3 salary range: $48.03 - $57.40 HourlyQualifications
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work or Social Welfare from an accredited institution.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred. LCSW eligibility within 1 year required.
Experience in child and adolescent mental health.
Knowledge of community resources for persons with mental illness, understanding of mental health systems.
Experience or special interest in working with persons with autism preferred, including implementing communication strategies and behavior management plans.
